  • The purpose of this course is to expose the learner to the practices and philosophies of some of the greatest crime fighters of the last century, including Jack Maple, Bill Bratton, Dr. George Kelling, and Chris Braiden. This critical analysis of police practices will hopefully make you think twice before accepting “that’s just the way we do it around here.”

  • The purpose of the course is to expose the student to various academic theories and points of view on the definition of gangs, as well as the current state of gangs in North America. While the focus of this course is on gangs, the student will also learn about modern criminological theories.

  • This course will compare and contrast the concept of restorative justice with the adversarial criminal justice system, and examine practices such as community justice conferences and panels, victim offender mediation, and peace making circles. The course will explore the current state of restorative justice in Canada.

KMc Training courses start in January, May and September. Courses must be completed within 120 days from the day the course begins, however, you can work at your own pace and complete the course as quickly or as slowly as you like within the time frame.

While each course varies in content, all courses offered by KMc Training will require the student to complete an online exam, short online quizzes and participate in online discussion forums.
