Health and Wellness for Police

This online course emphasizes the importance of mental wellness and life balance for police officers. Through a holistic concept of health, police officers learn strategies to make healthy choices in various ways, e.g., physically and mentally. The end result is positive mental health for police officers and their families. This course includes the following topic areas: life balance (intellectual, social, physical, emotional, spiritual), work balance, impact of stress on physical and mental functioning, stress management skills (e.g., relaxation, autogenics, etc.), copingstrategies, accessing mental health services (for both police officers and their families),maintaining a healthy home environment, goal-setting, and time management.
